Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport 450 Laser Rangefinder Overview
Magnification: 4X20 which is not as good as the Bushnell Tour V2 which has a 7X mangification but 4×20 is decent for the price that the Yardage Pro comes at.
Range: The range is from 5 to 999 yards but be aware that this rangefinder does not have the PinSeeker technology and has problems finding the flag above 220 yards. The 999 yard is a number that applies at maximum conditions with a reflective prism to capture the laser.
Battery: The 9V batteries can be seen as an advantage over some of the other rangefinders that use 3V batteries, such as the Bushnell Tour V2, as they can be bought at almost any store. The battery life of the Bushnell Yardage Pro 450 is very good. The 9V batteries are included with the Yardage pro 450. Note that there is no battery life indicator which is a downside so you should always bring a spare pack of batteries with you to the course as it will not operate without batteries.
It´s accuracy: The Yardage Pro is accurate when you factor in the price and this is not one of the features where it is found lacking. Comparable to other new rangefinders it is accurate to the yard (1 +/-) and does a good job from 10 to 220 yards.
After the 200 yard mark there was a slight difference, especially if we where going for the pin. A large upside is how well it operates during bad weather conditions such as rain which does not affect its accuracy.
Orientation: Horizontal and there is no option for vertical orientation.
Measures: The Bushnell Yardage Pro weights only 7,4 ounces
Warranty: Comes with a standard 2-year warranty.
Screen: Has a LCD screen that show either meters or yards.
Tournament play: Yes, the Bushnell Yardage Rangefinder is legal for tournament play.
Scan: No scan mode.
Pinseeker: No pinseeker.
Rain: This is a great feature and a big plus for the Bushnell Yardage Pro as it allows you to scan and get a reading even through rain and snow.
The Yardage Pro is the cheapest laser rangefinder on the market today. This product is recommended for those that want to use a rangefinder for both hunting and golf at a price that is very affordable. This is however a lower end laser rangefinder and does what it is suppose to do, measure the distance to the desired objects such as a flag, bunker, deer, etc.. Note that it has its limitations as the price would indicate. Has no PinSeeker and no scan mode and unable to find the flag from more than 220 yards.
If you want to measure objects that are close to you without any extra features at a price that is closer to $ 100 than $ 200 then this is the right rangefinder for you. If you however want quality over price with extra features such as a PinSeeker, scan mode, and overall more quality then you have to pay over the $ 200 limit.
- Low price (from $140 – See below)
- Small size, can fit in a pocket
- Battery life is very good and uses 9v batteries
- Takes a bit long to get a reading
- Have to go down to 200 yards to find the flag
- Not just a golf rangefinder
- No scan mode
- No PinSeeker
The Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport 450 Laser rangefinder is a lower end laser rangefinder and one of the smallest and cheapest rangefinders on the market. This means that it is somewhat limited when it comes to extra features, e.g.does not have PinSeeker, no scan mode, and has difficulties when it comes to finding the flag from more than 220 yards.
The Bushnell Yardage Pro does however what it is suppose to do, measure the distance to the desired object. You can get a reading of most things on the golf course, such as the pin, bushes, trees, etc..
