Well, this is one large hitting net that is for sure! 12 feet wide and 10 feet high, Izzo The giant golf hitting net is according to its producer “easy to setup and take down” and is made from strong material than can handle any club.
Our Take on the Izzo Giant
The net is easy to set up but make sure that you have enough space to set it up as it is a giant. The frame seems sturdy but the net material seems so be fragile but let’s see how the net did when we took it out for a test!
The net is perfect when you want to practice using a wedge as it is very large and will catch most balls when they fly high or wide (of course depending on how far away from the net you stand). Ball retrieval was good and the net seems to handle the impact well.
The net did well when we used the higher end irons as it did with the wedge. When we took the 4 and 3 irons the ball did, to our surprise, on some occasions go through the net which is down no terrible weak material.
Well, after we experienced how bad the net was using irons it came as no surprise to see ball after ball go through the net when we took out the driver.
- The net has now after one week test using it every day, using all our clubs, holes and the nylon fabric is not good enough to use all clubs with
- Cannot handle drivers, and 3 and 4 irons.
- Frame is good
- Easy to setup
- Not for professional use
- Might be good for beginners that want to practice with a wedge and irons down to 6.
The Izzo The giant 12-feet Training net is not a professional golf practice net but if used correctly can be a great net due to easy set up and large size. There are however some great hitting nets on the market for a similar price.
